Connor McGregor did not Donate $500k to the Dustin Poirier Foundation as Promised

Dustin Poirier claims Conor McGregor did not follow along with his large charity donation in the wake of UFC 257.



Prior to their rematch in January, McGregor guaranteed to donate $500,000 to Poirier's '' The Fantastic Fight Foundation. MMA Junkie supported with representatives from the teams at the night before UFC 257 that banking data was exchanged, and the last of the transport details were being finalized.

Subsequently Poirier won the struggle from second-round TKO, also according to"The Diamond," the trail went cold.

But he added an Additional layer by psychologist that his rival for not having lived up to his promise of donating (through Twitter):

That's a fun prediction! @TheNotoriousMMA also you predicted a donation to my base and also you and your team stopped responding after the struggle in January.

We chased him because his team reached out battle week to initiate the process but ghosted us the past 2 months following the struggle. My base has reached out 3 times since with no response. We have moved beyond it! We will be announcing our next target shortly! Its a big one

McGregor's team at Paradigm Sports Management did not react to MMA Junkie's request for comment on the circumstance, however McGregor addressed it at a direct reaction to Poirier.

According to McGregor, he did not deliver because he was not able to do his due diligence. He said he received"strategies for the Cost," which seemingly made him suspicious to the point of not following through on the contribution, which he initially offered (through Twitter):

A gift, a debt. We've been anticipating the plans for the money that never came. I do with my gifts. Know where it is going for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a number of these foundations, regrettably. You took the McG over the belt displays I had been right.

In reaction to McGregor, Poirier reiterated he was not able to make contact with McGregor's team. He informed McGregor he made the deal together with understanding of the strategy to build a gym. Then he mailed"The Notorious" a message about the trilogy (through Twitter):

Ool in Uganda, constructing a playground for special needs children, supplying backpacks for over 500 schoolchildren, and, most recently, providing transport and instruction for struggling childhood throughout The Boys & Girls Club of Acadiana.

The intention for McGregor's contribution was supposed to build a gym in Poirier's hometown of Lafayette, La., that would let him supply free instruction to youth in the region.

McGregor's net value premiered by Forbes at 2020 to be at approximately $148 million. This came before him promoting his stake in Suitable No. Twelve whiskey, which reports estimated to be worth $310 million.
